FOODLAND
Making close to home mean something.
First off… Foodland was opening new stores in a new market, but wanted to be seen as the “Close to Home” neighborhood grocery store.
So we… We listened to store manager and their employees for inspiration. This led us to a big insight: saving a nickel here and a dime there isn’t a real value if you’re missing out on customer service.
And then… The stores opened well against tough competition from Kroger, Giant Eagle and Walmart.
